报告题目:Principal eigenvalue of second order elliptic and parabolic operators with large advection
报告摘要:
(1) In this talk, we will discuss the recent progress on the limit problem of principal eigenvalue of second order operator: 1. the elliptic operator with degerate advection; 2. the parabolic operator in 1 dimensional case.
(2) Various asymptotic behaviors of the principal eigenvalues, when the advection coefficient approaches infinity, are established, where spatial or temporal degeneracy could occur in the advection term. It has some applications on the existence and stability of stationary solutions for single equations and system.

报告人简介:周茂林博士,现为南开大学陈省身数学研究所特聘研究员,2009年于南开大学本科毕业,2014年于东京大学获博士学位。2017年在澳洲担任DECRA特任研究员,2021年主持国家重点研发计划青年科学家项目。周茂林博士的研究领域为抛物方程和特征值问题,在Ann. Inst. Henri Poincare Anal. Non Lineaire、J. Math. Pures Appl.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、Indiana Univ. Math.、J. Func. Anal.等国际期刊发表论文20余篇。
