报告题目：Formal Group Laws and Classical Reciprocity Laws

报告摘要：Formal group laws are formal power series in two variables over a commutative ring that satisfy certain associativity, unitality and commutativity axioms. They are applied in algebraic number theory and algebraic topology. As an example of this application, a new approach relating formal group laws and classical reciprocity laws is introduced. This allows one to deduce a reciprocity formula for higher residue symbols which, in particular, implies the quadratic and cubic reciprocity laws.

报告人简介：Oleg V. Demchenko，1994年本科毕业于圣彼得堡国立大学（获专家称号），1997年研究生毕业于圣彼得堡国立大学（获副博士学位），现任圣彼得堡国立大学数学力学系副教授，课程设置与培养方案制定协调人，002全讯白菜网中俄联合校园数学学科俄方联系专员。Demchenko副教授主要从事群论方面的研究，在局部域整数环上的正规群律等课题上取得了很好的研究成果，发表学术论文20余篇，2000年获得圣彼得堡数学会颁发的“青年数学家奖”。
