报告题目：Topic Microeconometrics and Applications

报告摘要： With the increasing availability of micro-level data, there have been significant developents in the field of microeconometrics in recent decades and applications in diverse areas such as marketing, banking and finance, transport, health, labour and applied economics.This lecture discusses broad areas ofmicroeconometric models and recent developments. It also discusses several applications in the fields of health (e.g. health insurance, healthcare utilization, chronic diseases, hospitalperformance, tobacco, alcohol and illicit drug abuse), ageing, and labour economics (e.g. labour force participation, retirement decisions). The talk will also focus on the application aspect of microeconometrics techniques and research methodology including the management of data, software commands, and writing of academic papers. The lecture will suit higher year level undergraduate students and postgraduate/research students.     

报告人简介:赵雪燕教授，1961年生，1983年毕业于北京大学数学系获学士学位，1988年在清华大学获硕士学位，2000年在澳大利亚新英格兰大学获博士学位。从1983年至今赵博士先后在北京大学经济管理学院、澳大利亚新英格兰大学计量经济系、农业和资源经济系任教，同时，参加了澳大利亚肉牛合作研究中心的研究工作，现在莫纳什大学经济商学院计量经济系工作，赵博士在计量经济的教学和研究方面具有丰富的经验，并编制了这方面的应用软件，因此而获得了多项奖励现任担任澳大利亚莫纳什大学计量经济学与商务统计系教授。她在计量经济学、非参数与半参数计量经济学、面板数据与时间序列计量经济等研究领域有专长。主持澳大利亚国家级项目、澳大利亚研究委员会多项基金。并在Journal of Business and Economic Statistics，Journal of Health Economics, Applied Economics, Economic Record，Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization，Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics等国际顶尖计量经济学刊物上发表论文30余篇。
