SPOC 2013 (Int. Conf. Signal Processing, Optimization and Compressed Sensing), December 27-31, 2013, Harbin About SPOC 2013 Harbin is a very unique place for winter with splendid ice sculptures, and this workshop is also very unique in the sense that we only invite Chinese-speaking active young researchers and the focus is completely application-driven although the nature is quite inter disciplinary. We had our first one of this series in University of Science and Technology in China last year, which was very successful. This year, we again aim at making this series of workshop small-scale but very efficient in communication; and we hope to have real efficient interactions with graduate students in addition to ourselves. The local organizer will organize a short but very fantastic tour nearby; and thus make the workshop very relaxed. Basically, the local organizer will cover all local expenses for invited speakers. The SPOC 2013 workshop is sponsored by Harbin Institute of Technology, Operations Research Society of China, China Society for Industry and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM).
